Top Things to do in Warsaw

Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is a captivating blend of old-world tradition and modern charm. From the quaint alleys of the Old Town to the lively nightlife of the centre, our girls' trip there was definitely one to remember.

Here's a list of the top things we did that I would recommend putting on your itinerary if you were heading to this special city.

1. Palace of Culture and Science (Pałac Kultury i Nauki)

This structure stands proudly in the city's center as a testament to Poland's rich heritage. It serves as more than just the most famous building in Warsaw. Due to the diversity of attractions it offers, the Palace acts as a cultural hub that invites locals and visitors to explore, to learn, and to be inspired. Whether you sought to learn more

about Warsaw's rich history, admire its impressive architecture and panoramic views, get involved with the art and culture of the city or simply enjoy a drink in the bar, there really is something for everyone. We chose to venture to the top of the Palace to admire the breath taking views across Warsaw.

2. Silent Disco by the Vistula River

A Silent Disco is the perfect next stop for a girls' trip where music is played through wireless headphones instead of traditional loudspeakers. This allows you to choose between different music channels, a must for a group that tends to have different music tastes! This event was held by the Vistula River until 4 am where we were able to witness the Polish sunrise. On your way there and back make sure to keep an eye out for the iconic Warsaw Mermaid statue, a symbol of the city's resilience and connection to the Vistula River. A truly unforgettable experience!

3. Chopin concert in the Royal Lazienki Park

Imagine sitting under the open sky, surrounded by lush greenery, as the melodies of renowned composer Frédéric Chopin fill the air. This day was a scorcher, so we decided to travel to the Royal Lazienki Park, grab a chilled lemonade, and set up our picnic blanket to watch the live Chopin concert. Michelle Candotii, an award-winning pianist from Italy played many of Chopin's renowned compositions underneath his own monument. After the concert I would recommend taking some time to explore the park further it is beautiful! It truly was the best way to ease yourself into the day.

4. Karaoke and mini golf at Zagrywki

Zagrywki is known for being Poland's first activity bar and there are SO many activities to choose from, from beer pong to golf. Our passion for karaoke won out and we ended up booking a private room for the hour where we were able to order jugs full of Sangria. When our hour was up we were ready to get another drink and unleash our competitive sides in a few rounds of mini-golf. The indoor mini-golf facilities were unlike any I had ever seen; rotating parts, beer pong obstacles, and pinball machines made for the craziest rounds of mini-golf I've ever played. If you're looking for a night filled with fun, and maybe a few heated competitive moments, this is definitely the place to go!

5. The Old Town

It goes without saying that Poland is steeped in history and culture, so it felt only right to dedicate one of our days to exploring the streets of the Old Town. With traditional eateries, cute market stalls, and stunning views, it soon became my favourite part of the trip. We were able to sample some Polish delicacies such as pierogi and chlodnik which were delicious.

6. Teatro Cubano Club

As a lover of Latin music and good value Cuba Libres this was a no-brainer. Being just a short walk from the centre of town it was in a great location to dance the night away.

7. University of Warsaw Rooftop Gardens

Within the bustling heart of Warsaw, the Rooftop Gardens of the University of Warsaw juxtapose all of the commotion. This serene sanctuary was refreshing and peaceful with panoramic views of the city. A must-do on a girls' trip to collect your thoughts and appreciate the beauty of the city from a different perspective.
